Steven...last few weeks it has been tough with the wind muddying most everything up so the key has been finding the cleaner water where there is green grass
and fishing slow w/ plastics. It is an absolute beating but that is about the only way I have been able to get bit. There still are some bed fish scattered. I
suspect Chaney will have some beds in it as it is normally one of the last creeks to spawn. I have not been in there though.
If you read the post about water in the cup holders there is some good current information in it. I have heard they are catching a few fish in Glade but I have not been up there this spring because word got out on it early and it has been covered up. Birch is a main staple in the spring. The topwater bite is somewhat scarce from what I have found but with the temps in the 90's this weekend I suspect that will change. Yellow Magic, Zara Puppy, Frogs, Rage Tail Shad will all work. I will be on the lake Saturday fishing a tournament if you want some more up to date information call me Sat nite (probably after 6)or Sunday and I will do the best I can. Judd Lasiter 972-333-4387 |

Speaking of not forgetting food places...Moser's @ Lake Fork Marina is a definite one nite, definitely leave room for their pie. The other place is
Bro's @ Fisherman's One Stop if you like mudbugs, shrimp or catfish...it is KILLER! Hard for me to go out there and not stop at Bro's for some
crawfish.

Hit any of the larger coves on the lower west side of the lake near the dam.
They spawn a little later down there nearer the deeper water haunts. Not as crowded as the upper end either. Rainswood Marina serves a decent greasy cheeseburger. Tie up to their dock and enjoy a mid-day break. Oh, and my, oh my....don't forget the PIE (Moser's)!!!!!!

If you choose to go to Falcon or Amisted, take your sun lotion, BIG NUMBER(50) its going to be 102 to 104 all weekend at those places. Fish of a lifetime is
still possible at both places. Good Luck !!

Thanks all for the advice. I would do Falcon or Amistad but man, that's like 24 hours of driving with my old man and I am pretty sure one of us would not
make it!
I'm planning on Falcon or Amistad next year for a trip
though. Thanks again all!
