I am hooking up my new 520 and on the power chord there is 3 black wires coming out of it one is bigger than the other 2 and I know that is my main source of
power, but do I need to hook the other 2 up as well? I am pretty sure I dont one of them , but there is one that has something to do with 2500 ,and I think it
needs hooked up but I am not for sure. This unit does have the external antenna if that makes any difference. THANKS for the help

The wires should be labeled with a silver tag...one Black cable is the power wire for the head unit,,,One cable is the power wire for the GPS Puck, and the
other wire is for the NMEA if I remember right....You can hook the 2 red wires for the head unit and the Puck together and same with the Black wires just make
sure you Fuse them seperately...Also make sure your wiring is switched through an accessory switch or add a toggle switch...If you don't the wires can
corrode and the GPS puck is hot even with the unit off and if you don't put it on a switch it could kill your battery..If you have any questions check out

You don't need to hook up the NMEA wire...Just the Wire for the GPS Puck and the Head wire..
