My new Classic is having electrical problems which all seem to be related to the round 4 switch control and it's control box. This controls the
bilge, livewell, horn and lights. This morning none of that was working. You could hear the relays click but that was it. After I trailered it home the bilge
was on but I could not turn it off even if I used the master power switch. The master power switch had the light that indicates it is on illuminated whether it
was on or off. I had to disconnect the battery to get everything to shut off. When I reconnected the battery the 4 way switch did not do anything. I guess
it will have to go to Bowden Marine in the morning. Good thing is that I only live 5 miles from there. Bad thing is I am boatless.
Has anyone else had this problem? It seems to be caused by the fact that the control box was only mounted by one screw which came loose. When this happened
the ribbon cable between the 4 switch panel and the control box seems to have been damaged. Considering the wacky things it is doing it may have damaged the
control box as well.
It did give me a chance to lay under the console and check things out. It's always nice to know your boat a little. You never know when that will be
pretty handy. It also finished impressively nice under the console.
