Are the shirts $65 and an extra $55 to have your name added? When your name is added will your last name be in big letters on the back and your first and last
name on the front? Just trying to get my ducks in a row before I order. Thanks, Eric!

That is the addition of your name to the front, though we don't think there would be an additional charge for rear? That was as of the 19th (June) from the
shirt builder.
The shirts become one off's when you add a name, as that has to be incorporated into the sublimation format. So those with names are built special and we don't know about the rear for sure, though we will verify. BCB |

Wow $55 to add a name, now for $55 if I could get my name and Merc logo added then that would be worth it maybe. But I do like the shirts!

They would have to pay for Mercury Licensing.

Here's a business question I don't get, maybe I am missing something. Why wouldn't Merc (or any company for that matter), want their logo splashed
on everyone's shirt, and let everyone use it for free? It seems like it is just free advertising for the company?

Just ask Harley Davidson why not! The logo is a licensed product and there is registered trade marks, as well as design copyrights for artists which can make
their income from that process.
Harley Davidson is adamant about protecting their logo. They sell items and license the use of htat logo for other companies to sell items which they receive a return on as royalties. It is a HUGE part of their business structure in clothing, coffee cups, clocks, board games, accessories for bikes, vehicle logo'd accessories, front license tags, emblems, key chains, mugs, .... well you got the picture now... Yamaha strongly protects their logo as well. We have allowed use of ours though with discrepancies in those opinions internally and among our design crew. Rick does a great deal of the design, and Gary Gould tends to tweak those rough drawings for perfection. They go back an forth between themselves on this topic. BCB |

So if I wanted to design a customized sublimated shirt from one of these companies (Gemeni just as an example), with the Basscat logo on it, would I have to
get permission to use the logo, would Gemini, or would it just be impossible? Or if one of us has to pay for it, traditionally who pays, the customer or the
printer?

MossBoss,
We don't charge now for that, and some companies pirate it. Usually pirated without permission and it is never sought. Though while it is not illegal for you to use it yourself, it is illegal for the companies to produce it without documentation. Technical isn't it! We have a form that handles this for it to be done legally. Service handles that. BCB |
