my 91 Sabre, I will be back for another Bass Cat! I will try to post a picture when I remember how I did it the last time. Copy and paste did not work this time. If anyone can clue me, I will appreciate it.

Picked up my new 2008 Classic today! |

|
Well it was a long drive to Mountain Home, AR from Florida, but it was worth it. I picked up my new 08 Classic, 175 HPDI Yamaha and it's ready for the trip
back. Have to take my wife to Branson for the weekend, as that was part of the deal. I just have to repeat, the people here at Bass Cat are just super. Ivan
made sure everything was the way it was ordered. I also got to spend a few minutes with Ron and Rick Pierce and your just know they want you to be happy with
your Bass Cat! My dealer, Parkway Marine in Tallahassee, FL worked real hard to make sure I got the right boat, the way I wanted it. Fred Jones is not only a
Bass Cat dealer, he is a bass fisherman and he has a great working knowlege in helping a customer pick the right options. Rachel and I took it out today on
Bull Shoals Lake, Everything up here is flooded right now, and it has been raining off and on. We managed to get 10 miles on it before the rain started moving
in again and we loaded the boat up and dropped it off at the factory for safe keeping while we are in Branson. I am very happy with my motor choice. Now if it
lasts 17 years and still be saleable like
my 91 Sabre, I will be back for another Bass Cat! I will try to post a picture when I remember how I did it the last time. Copy and paste did not work this time. If anyone can clue me, I will appreciate it. Skipjack68 |

Congrats on the new ride. It sounds very nice.
Also, on posting pictures. I use www.imageshack.us because it seems to be the easiest to deal with because you have to upload them to the internet and then use the url to post into your post. If you have troubles email them to me and I will help you out. Judd Lasiter basschaser1@verizon.net |

Thanks Judd,
When I get to a wireless location where I can use my computer instead of this motel model, I will work on that. Skipjack |

Glad you have had a great trip up to Mountain Home and Branson area. Of course, be careful heading back. It is truely a unique and exciting experience to
meet the folks working on the boats and the Pierce family as well.

Congrats Skipjack!! That's a great looking rig. I'm not far behind you with a '92 Sabre. Hopefully I'll be upgrading by next year. It's
been a great boat but I've about outgrown it.

Congrats on the new ride. The way you seem to take care of your boat, I'm sure it will last as long as you want to keep it. Enjoy your new boat.

Great looking boat! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. Your right, Rick, his dad and mom are super people as well as the rest of the BC crew. I had the
opportunity to meet and talk to them at the Owners Invitational in March. I know they didn't know me from jack, but made my wife and I feel welcome right
from the start. It's no wonder the BC family talks so highly of them and the boats.
I notice in you pictures, that it appears you have additional seat sockets forward. Was that a special order thing? I could see where that would be nice if you just wanted to go perch jerking. Good luck with the new ride! Reid....... |

I have a seat position in the deck behind the cooler box. I like to move my pole seat down when I am underway. I only have one concern with my new Classic.
like someone else mentioned, I feel like I am ready to fall in when I am on the pole seat. The new foot petal position is 15" further forward now and I
feel like I am sitting right on the nose of the boat with no deck on either side. The classis is more narrow I think. I am supposed to get use to it. For now I
am going to wear a vest and put my wallet and other pocket items in a zip lock in the glove box. I did not realize how precarious this position was until I
tried it again today. I don't know if anyone else has fallen off the front of the boat when a wake or wave comes by, but it looks like that could happen. I
am supposed to get use to this, and I am going to try. My balance at my age is not all that great and if I do fall in, I am going to have to look for something
else. Otherwise, I would have to have a safty belt and I don't see how I can do that. Other wise, the boat so far is perfect. Has anyone fallen off the bow
yet or is my concern misplaced??

Skipjack,
Turn the butt seat around to the leaning side of the seat. Instead of siting on the seat, lean against it. When you want to move back towards the consoles just rotate left or right. I know it seems odd right now but you will like it when you get used to it. You won't fall off but be careful until you get used to it. I am curious to know how the 175 performs on your classic. I have a 200 HPDI on my 05 Classic and really like it. Good Luck, Brian |

I haven't fallen out and I am pretty clumsy and big. I was a little concerned as well at first, especially when hitting a stump! It does take a little
getting use to, but once you do and it wont take long, you will throw rocks at all other boats.
