Otherwise, the 08 and newer Cougar FTD does have rear storage, without giving up rear deck fuel tanks.....

I can see where that extra 12 inches on the back mid section of the Cougar FTD front deck is important, especially for big boys(like me) that would forget that
I am in a Puma, step off and break something.

Well my wife says every inch counts.
And I know if you are fishing
with someone who doesnt watchout for you (PA) then you would like to be on the very back of the front deck. I would like to know if you can buy those latches
also. They do look sweet as well as the new plug. I also like the neew console except that it puts the Fish/GPS behind the steering wheel wear you cant see it.
But I like that the side gives the rod tips a place to lay while not hanging over the side of the boat. Regardless as long as its a Bass Cat you can't go
wrong. And I am loving my NEW Puma!

Impressive new changes!!! | ||

The new sporty console looks pretty cool. How large a finder will it handle - a 997 HB I hope?? The latches look awesome - the ones with the finger cutters
built into them needed a little work. Looks like a great boat just got even better. The 5-year warranty standard is a serious plus as well.

Traybird, my classic is setup in a similar manner w/ the 332c directly behind the wheel. The steering wheel in the picture looks like it is tilted up and the
pic is taken at a downward angle so it does look like the wheel could interfere, but doubt it does. I have had no problem with my setup whatsoever. I think
the updated console on the cougar adv looks awesome compared to the older style. I think the consoles on the basscats turn some people off and give it an
antiquated look, I would agree to some degree that they are a little box-ish looking. Just my opinion. Like the new wheels as well. The best just keep
getting better, great job to all of the folks at BCB.
-Lee Also heard people talking about breaking keys off getting in and out of the drivers seat, looks like the new console addressed this issue as well. I personally have never had an issue with the ignition placement on the dash, but looks like it was addressed none the less.

Other changes that were not mentioned: New Torx rubber axles which will eliminate squeaky springs.

Awsome job Rick and crew! I'd also be intersted if the new latch will work on previous models. Also when the new decal will be hitting the store. Whats
the yellow button on the advantage console?

I also noticed what appears to be a new tiny "BCB" logo on the passengers console above the grab bar. That is a nice touch. I'm also interested
in the new latches.

No. I think it for all the new models in 09'. This is to help a customer who wants a boat in June but the Spring Motor promo is over. Helps that customer
to buy now instead of waiting until Spring for the extra warranty. Smart marketing move by Merc and BCB. Hope the other motor companies follow suit.

I do a lot of night fishing due to my local lake being so crowded. That nite stalker pkg will be really nice, especially when you can purchase additional
lights.
Great job Rick/Ron! |

I hate doing this to Bobby Lee and Scott but contact parts@basscat.com for information on the latches...one thing that is worth mentioning is these latches are
not cheap and most will not warrant a full replacement for the costs associated with these. They are an awesome latch and BCB raised the bar this year as far
as add-ons and standard features. I don't know for sure but you are looking well over $400 for a full 11 latch set.
The yellow button is actually the back of the rechargeable LED spotlight in the cig lighter recharging. Sorry no wife ejection button The 5 year warranty is for all year models this is a new deal that Merc and BCB put together and is an exciting piece of information. I didn't mention the axles but Phil is right they are pretty cool. I pulled the Puma FTD home for Rockwall and it did a great job at towing. The Sabre FTD received the new dash. That is a newer boat in the line up and I didn't expect to many changes to it or the P2. JLaw - you do realize there isn't hardly any price difference in your "normal" guy's P4 and all the 20ft'ers right? JL |

The new boats look great BCB! Very interesting and well thought out changes it seems. Will be looking forward to more and personally a pic of the PII.

JL- There is quite a bit of difference in price from the 20 footer to the 19footer, the normal guy term was for those of us that are not ProStaff, Dealers,
etc;. A pretty well configured P4 can be found between 37-41K, where as the puma or cougar is going to run 47-54K. Sounds like a quite a price difference to
me. Now a prostaffs Puma is probabaly pretty close to what a "normal" guys price is on the P4. Makes no difference to me anyway, I was just wondering
if there was any new design plans to the P4 or if they brought back the hand rails on the P2. Thanks for the Pics and keeping us updated, lok forward to seeing
one in person.
