Baycat as a family ski boat |
Lead | |
|
Has anyone who has a baycat used it for sking? Have tried to use the Jaguar for sking and it does just ok for small kids only, how have you set up the big cat
for pulling skiers out of the water?

The boat does a fine job and pulls well. The propeller selection is not for top end, and thus you can tweak it to fit your needs. We did have a pattern for a
tower, though it was expensive for a custom wakeboard tower. The best option there is Monster Tower (.com) and they probably could hook you up for less, and it
could be taken down as well for fishing in cooler months.
There are a couple out there that have done this, and Rick used the first prototype for his family all one summer so he may pop in about it later. BCB |

1st question about the jag is what prop are you using if you are only able to pull kids.
my 93 tidecraft with 150 force pulled my 260# rear out of the water like it was nothing. using 21 pitch high5 |

For now all I have done is add a ski tow bar, still running a 25 trophy Plus. Have no idea what prop to use or where to start, any advice? Who has set up a Jag
for sking?

25 High Five, or you can go to a 24 Fury for multi use.

Its no big deal to swap props before heading out, and I rarely need to worry about racing at tournament blast off top speed on the same outing when I am towing the kids around the lake. Besides... I don't know to many people who have the skills to ski at 65MPH. I usually pull the tubes and other pull toys at about 35-40 max. When I was a kid I skiied as well as I could at those speeds. Heck, most of my dad's boats only ran that fast anyway. |
