The co-angler leader, Merrill Showers, is also a BassCat owner. We pre-fished together on the upper Chesapeake and Potomac and he is a great guy. Wish them
both luck tomorrow.

As for making it to the BIGS---thats a road many want to travel. I see you live in TN. I would highly recommend fishing the ABA AFT trail there in TN-heres their link http://www.americanbassanglers.com/TN2010.php Once you begin to win and consistently place in the top 5 on those bodies of water, then look at getting into the "pro"/am format events like the BWS and/or the BFLs. And set realistic goals of making AFT national first, then the BWS regional or BFL regional, then possibly qualifying for the BWS nationals or the FLW all american. Keepin mind there are thousands of others out there with the same goals, those who have the determination, dedication to put the time on the water are genreally going to be those who continue to move on to the next level, very few will have overnight success, the more lakes and different bodies of water you can fish will only make you a bettter fisherman. One quote i read off a another board said " always remember when it's too cold, too much rain, too windy, too hot, too tired, that your competitiors are out there fishing because thats what you will face when tournament days are here, and catching fish in all those conditions are required in order to move onto the "BIGS". |

Jay provided some good advice. The link was helpful too so you can purchase the shirts of your choice. My advice would be to not expect anything to be given to
you. You have to go out and earn it. Good luck and good fishing.
