First of all I just want to say thanks for everyones input so far. Ok so last year I had the spark plugs, fuel filter, water pump etc replaced. I dont know anything about upgrading the spark plugs. The work was done at Mungenast Marine at lake of Ozarks. I use xd-100 synthetic oil and had been using ring free as the fuel additive. I'm currently using Startron enzyme fuel treatment. When the boat was brand new the trophy prop that was on there was over 6200 on rpms so Ivan swapped me for the 28 trophy. When we ran it with two guys and without my fishing tackle and empty livewells it was alright. I'd still say slow to take off but not that big of a deal when you have plenty of deep water and no weeds to bog you down. I would say the boat operates now essentially like it did before. If I lighten the boat some I'm sure I'll run in the 5800-6000 rpm range with the 28p trophy which is the only prop I have currently. Fully loaded is a little different story and even more complicated by the shallow lakes here. I didn't run the boat much last year as it was for sale... A hard thing to do.. But had gotten away from fishing... Anyway I'm back now . I think a 25p fury would be to little of a pitch and I'd be over my rpms for sure. I wish I could remember what pitch that first trophy I had was... Maybe it's on the original sale tag... I'll have to look. Ok I think I answered your questions. Oh and a water seperator? Is that necessary? I want to protect the motor as much as possible as I didn't get their extended 7 yr warranty... Some big paperwork mess there, gave up on that after 2 yrs of trying to get it fixed... Something to do with Osage beach Mungenast not being authorized Evinrude dealer ( no warranty or rebate). Though Mungenast has said they would cover the motor themselves, I'd rather not put that to the test with me being down in Florida now. Anyway that's a whole other topic. I'm just looking for the best prop to get me up on plane in the shallow water here.

Thats some good information Gun Runner. Thats pretty much what I was thinking it might run with a 26 (after doing some calculations with my engineer father trying to account for all the variables). I found a BassCat dealer in Clewiston (Jolly Roger Marina) and spoke with a Brett Williams there and it looks like I'll be able to try out a 26 and 27. I'll try to post some numbers too in case anyone else is trying to figure out what the effects are going from a 4 bladed trophy with a smaller diameter to 3 blade with a larger diameter, thinner lighter blades, different geometery and some other variables the engineer father was throwing at me.

So I went to the lake, my 28p Trophy was putting the boat on plane in 10 sec, I switched to the 26p Fury and holeshot was about 6 sec. This is with full gear, 50 gallons gas, full live wells and just me in boat. Water temp in 80's, my top end was 5900-6100 rpm at 74.7 mph (3mph faster). I'll probably need to play around with the motor height a little more to find the best spot.

Prop slip was calculated at 5.9%

ECAT, I'm curious, is yours a DC or single console?  I've heard that a single console will be faster d/t less wind resistance and I'm also running 4 batteries in back along with heavier trolling motor up front.  I wouldn't change theses things to get more speed as I'm pretty satisfied where it's at.....
