Finally got back to doing what I love and did some fishing this past week. Fished my first Club tournament of the year Saturday. I can honestly say I have never had so much fun getting my behind kicked as this Tournament. We ended up with 12 lbs and it took 16 to lead. But, we caught about 60 keepers and had an absolute blast doing it. I knew we needed to leave to try and find some better fish but when your having fun and in good company its hard to go. I had made 2 scout trips before the tournament and caught no less than 50 bass both scout days. Very nice way to knock the rust off for sure. Today I spent the day with my Wife and Mom, and Sister-in-law. I put on a big BBQ and we had a nice day together. Beautiful weather too. All in all it was a great weekend . Bernard Parish. Better known as Delacroix, La. I hadn't been since the storm and usually when we have a big storm, the 3rd year is the big comeback year. It appears to be holding true once again. There is a whole lot of 2.5 to 3.0 lb fish there and an occassional 4-5 lber. As soon as the ole muddy Mississippi is down to normal levels again I will be spending alot of time down in Venice, La. That place is an unbelievable bass fishery. Again, its the 3rd year after the storm and it should be on fire this summer and fall as the river clears up a little. Now That is a trip we need to plan with some of the guys from the board one of these days. Nothing but fun. Limits of Bass, Redfish and if you so desire Speckled Trout. Oh, and Flounder too. Maybe we can talk about that at the Gaf this year if you all are going. Enough of my rambling. See yall later. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.
