Live wells filling when on empty? |
Lead | |
|
On our new 2008 PII I have noticed that when the live well switch moved to the empty position that they still fill about 1/4 of the way up. Is this a normal
occurrence with them or if not how would I go about correcting it?

Well, They should not be filling when it is on empty without a pump running.
Make sure you are going over the detent on the valve arm. BCB |

I have tried it several trips to make sure that it is over all the way and it is still filling up some. I am guessing the valve is just not closing all the way
in the back of the boat?

We suspect it is a cable that may have slipped in the mounting brace. It should be easy to see and the valve can be operated by hand.
If it drains and holds water, then it could be fine and working properly, though the flapper just letting a bit of water through. Check to see if it holds water when you make a 5 mile run or so. |
